I listened to Hazard by Richard Marx a few times today – I’m not really sure why.
It could just be because it’s a damn fine song; or it may be because it was a big hit when I lived in Australia, and it reminds me of a simpler, more innocent time; or perhaps it’s because that line in the bridge – there’s no escape for me this time, all of my rescues are gone, long gone is so perfectly resonant for me at the moment; or maybe it’s just because I always wanted to figure out what the hell happened to Mary.
Whatever, if you’re a fan of early nineties AOR – or even if you’re not – you should give this one a chance. Click on the title and give it a whirl.
